Talking about life in the Creative Industries

In January, I talked to a really lovely, engaged group of Year 9s and Sixth formers about how I became an artist and the design process behind 'Lost Connections.'  They had researched my work and began to develop their own ideas in a sketchbook project. It was a really inspiring afternoon – talking to students about the design process – what it's like to work for big companies as a freelancer versus working for yourself, electronic waste, recycling, product design… and never forgetting the power of a doodle. (It's how I got my first job in design)
