Sketchbook process - Watercolour painting

I bring a sketchbook out everywhere with me. Here are some quick sketchbook work paintings from a friend's garden. I start with colour mixing, laying areas of colour down quickly. Then some texture with different brush marks. Once dry, I work over it in an ink pen, colour pencils or a thin brush. A tiny bit of red will neutralise the bright greens that exist straight from the tube or palettes.
Sometimes the sketches stay in my book, while others develop into paintings.
