Panel Discussion at BBC Radio Cymru

danielMordenBBCA couple of years ago, if anyone had asked me to take part in a radio interview (let alone one for BBC) - I would have run a mile. Thanks to 'A Thousand Voices' and my current work in Rookwood Hospital, I said YES to an invitation to be on a panel to talk about the role of the arts in health.

We discussed the positive impact that music has, as well as other art forms, on people recovering from illness ...I mentioned the Music & Memories group at Community House! I also got the chance to talk about my current project at the hospital and in a local Cardiff school called 'Touch A Flower, Talk to Me'

With Daniel Morden, writer, performer and storyteller and Vicky Guise, a music therapist. We were interviewed by Nicola Heywood Thomas and it'll be aired this Friday, 6.30pm on BBC Radio Wales.

So grateful for this opportunity to speak up about the value of professionally trained artists, volunteers and support staff within all creative artforms that bring their skills and passion into hospitals, schools and their communities!
