Making connections. #30MinutePortraitStories

How do you make a connection with someone you barely know? What would you ask someone if you really wanted to know what they were like? 

I'd like to think that I know all about my children, (!!) but they surprised me. One of the questions asks: 

"If you could time travel, where would you go and why?"

My 7 year old son's reply to this broke my heart!

"– To 1942"

(I had to try not to laugh. Why/How was he being so specific?)

" – To see what granddad was like when he was young…"

(Granddad, isn't around anymore).

It was lovely to see a mother and daughter asking each other the random questions and finding out things that they didn't know about each other…

Lovely to see the people that we painted coming in to look at their paintings.
