Lost Connections at the Riverfront

The Lost Connections series concerns our addiction to social media feeds - the cold blue light of digital screens that distract us – to the then largest e-waste dump in Agbogbloshie, Ghana. The catalyst was the documentary photography of Andrew McConnell and Kevin McElvaney. Lost Connections is an emotional response - raising questions about e-waste; our relationship to digital technology and the ever-growing loss of connection to nature and each other.

I collaborated with pupils and staff at Bassaleg High School to create the e-waste collages and held a short residency at The Project Space, Newport to complete the works.

My solo show opened in January 2015 at The Riverfront and toured venues in Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Cardiff.
