Carrie gave away some fab stuff like this badge and some very cool postcards

Earlier in the year I was invited to take part in Human Nature Show, curated by Charlotte Webster founder of GoodShoutStudio. How did this happen? Artists Carrie Reichardt and street artist ATM visited Newport in January to give a talk about their work at The Project Space. It was dirty…gritty and irreverent. After they'd finished I felt compelled to talk to them!

My exhibition 'Lost Connections' happened to be on at The Riverfront so I invited them to see it. I didn't think for a minute that they would have time to go as they were on a mission to put some street art in a run-down part of town.

One thing led to another – they did what they said they would – and here we are (minus Carrie) in this photo, taken in Bristol the week before the show opened on 17th July at Centrespace Gallery.

I felt honoured and excited at the chance to show my work outside my home town with some very talented artists from all over the world. Not just that, to be part of a touring exhibition with a strong theme: our connection to nature and the environment.

I don't have many pictures of us all painting the alleyway (Leonard Lane) but there's a link below which shows a little bit about what was going on in the lead up to the opening. Our mission was to create awareness of environmental issues and attract visitors to the gallery.
