Drawing with a stick

One of my favourite things to draw with is a humble stick or twig. They give unique effects and every stick is one of a kind.
I would be quite upset if something happened to this particular one - it broke off at the end and now has a sort of nib.
I love to work on a large scale as it feels free and not confined - working on the floor is best for this and allows me to use my whole body within the drawing. Plus, the added bonus of feeling like a little kid again to make these drawings is an important part of the process.

My limited colour palette is viridian and magenta, plus white. There are so many beautiful colours to be discovered from just these few colours. I've used acrylic paint watered down. Sometimes I use acrylic painting mediums to add even more transparency to the paint.

With acrylics, I have to work quickly before they dry out - this adds to the energy of the painting, not a bad thing at all!
The paper I've used is 300gsm Fabriano, so it can take alot of paint without buckling and it comes in a huge roll.
